The Launch of my new book, The Little Dog Laughed has been marked with sadness. On January 25th, Sam my adorable Jack Russell terrier died from pancreatitis at the age of sixteen. He was the cutest and most loving and faithful dog I have ever known. We buried him under the lemon tree. It was from under that particular tree Sam, and his little pal Spud mounted their on-going campaign to annoy the neighbor's dog. Once they stirred him up barking and jumping at the fence their mission was accomplished. They'd come inside expecting a treat. Which of course they always got the naughty little monkeys. I am missing Sammy terribly, and especially now when I'm on my PC. Always before when I was working away on my manuscript, Sammy was there curled up at my feet, never complaining just happy to be close to me. Here he is with the significant other in his life who also loved him to pieces.
